The standard we hold our partners to
The Truth Seekers Network exists because people deserve to investigate things themselves — quickly, without needing a PI or a lawyer. When you promote Scamanot, you're part of that.
This document means every approval call is made the same way, every decline comes with a reason, and you know where the line is before you apply. It's also what we point to if a partner ever promotes Scamanot in a way we didn't approve.
Who we approve
Follower count isn't the deciding factor. We're looking at who your audience is and whether they'd actually benefit from this tool.
Consumer protection and fraud awareness creators
YouTube channels, podcasters, newsletter writers, bloggers — anyone focused on scam education, fraud prevention, or financial safety. This is who we're built for.
Marketplace and peer-to-peer community builders
Admins of Facebook groups, subreddits (where permitted), or Discord communities centred around online buying, selling, renting, or freelancing — communities where scams are a daily concern.
Personal finance and lifestyle creators
Creators covering money management, side hustles, remote work, or job hunting — audiences that regularly encounter job scams, investment fraud, and payment scams.
Cybersecurity and privacy professionals
IT professionals, privacy advocates, or security-aware professionals whose audience trusts their recommendations on digital safety tools.
Journalists and investigative content creators
Independent journalists, fact-checkers, investigative creators — anyone whose work is about finding out what's actually true.
Promotion standards
The how matters as much as the where. Here's the line.
Promotion Styles We Support
- Genuine, first-person reviews based on your actual experience with the tool
- Educational content showing how to use specific tools to investigate a real scenario
- Informational comparisons of scam-detection resources
- Newsletter or email recommendations with honest context about what Scamanot can and cannot do
- Social posts that lead with value — a scam tip, a red flag to watch for — and mention Scamanot naturally
- Video walkthroughs of the tool in action on a genuine use case
- Linking to Scamanot in relevant community threads when you are genuinely answering a question
- Podcast mentions in episodes about scam awareness or fraud prevention
Promotion Styles That Are Off-Limits
- Fear-based content: "You WILL get scammed without this" — we don't build on fear
- False or exaggerated claims: "100% accurate", "never get scammed again", "catches every scam"
- Paid-to-play placements disguised as organic recommendations without disclosure
- Spam: mass cold emails, unsolicited DMs, or comment spam on unrelated threads
- Platform manipulation: purchasing followers, artificial engagement, or coordinated boosting to inflate metrics
- Contextless link drops with no explanation or value to the viewer
- Content targeting vulnerable populations in exploitative ways (e.g., elderly scam victims targeted with urgency messaging)
- Use of Scamanot's brand assets outside the approved guidelines
- Promoting on platforms or in communities where it violates that platform's rules
The application process
Every application is reviewed by hand. Nothing is auto-approved. Here's what happens:
Submit your application
Complete the application at scamanot.com/affiliates.html. Include your platform, audience size, and a detailed promotion plan (minimum 150 characters).
We review your content and audience
We look at your existing content, your audience's interests, and your stated promotion plan. This typically takes 3–5 business days.
Approval or decline with a reason
You will receive an email either way. Declines include the specific reason. You may reapply after 30 days if the reason can be addressed.
Access your dashboard and unique link
Approved partners receive access to the Truth Seekers Network affiliate dashboard at affiliate.scamanot.com, with your unique tracking link and real-time commission reporting.
Payouts at $25 minimum via PayPal
Commissions are 40% recurring for the lifetime of each referred subscriber. Payouts are issued monthly when your balance reaches the $25 minimum. PayPal Business account required.
Violations & consequences
This isn't a guidelines document. If you violate these standards, here's what happens:
Depending on the nature of the violation:
- A written warning with a 7-day cure period for first-time minor violations
- Immediate suspension of the affiliate account pending investigation
- Permanent termination of the affiliate relationship with forfeiture of unpaid commissions where fraud or intentional misrepresentation is involved
- Referral of evidence to platform operators where the violation also breaches that platform's terms
This document is referenced in the Scamanot Affiliate Terms of Service and forms part of the agreement every affiliate accepts on approval.
Questions before applying?
If you're not sure whether your audience or approach is a fit, ask before you apply. We'd rather answer a question than turn down someone who would have been a good partner.
