Affiliate Terms of Service

By joining the Scamanot Affiliate Program, you agree to these terms. Read them carefully before applying.

Important — Read Before Joining

These Terms govern your participation in the Scamanot Affiliate Program operated through Rewardful. They cover how commissions work, what promotion methods are permitted, how you may use the Scamanot brand, and the consequences of violations. Acceptance is required before you can begin promoting Scamanot.

Version 1.0  ·  Effective Date: July 7, 2026  ·  Governing Jurisdiction: Arizona, USA

1. Definitions

Throughout these Terms, the following definitions apply:

  • "Program" means the Scamanot.com Affiliate Program operated through Rewardful.
  • "Affiliate" means any individual or entity accepted into the Program.
  • "Scamanot" means scamanot.com and its operator, Robert Scott Singleton.
  • "Referral Link" means the unique tracking URL assigned to you by Rewardful.
  • "Qualifying Referral" means a new, paying subscriber who (a) arrived via your Referral Link, (b) was not a prior Scamanot customer, (c) completes a paid subscription using a valid payment method, and (d) whose subscription has not been charged back, refunded, or cancelled within the applicable clawback period.
  • "Commission" means the fee Scamanot pays you for each Qualifying Referral.
  • "Prohibited Method" means any promotional technique listed in Section 5 of these Terms.

2. Eligibility & Application

2.1 Who May Apply

The Program is open to individuals and businesses who:

  • are at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in their jurisdiction);
  • have a genuine, established online presence (website, newsletter, social channel, or community) with an audience that could benefit from scam-detection tools;
  • are not residents of jurisdictions subject to applicable trade sanctions or export control laws; and
  • agree to these Terms in full.

2.2 Application & Acceptance

Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance. Scamanot reserves the right to approve or decline any application at its sole discretion, with or without explanation. Acceptance is confirmed when Rewardful grants you access to your affiliate dashboard.

2.3 One Account Per Person/Entity

You may maintain only one affiliate account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent limits, earn duplicate commissions, or evade a prior termination is grounds for immediate removal and forfeiture of all pending earnings.

3. Commission Structure & Payment

3.1 Commission Rate

The current commission rate is published in your Rewardful affiliate dashboard. Scamanot may adjust commission rates at any time with 30 days' written notice to active affiliates. Rate changes do not apply retroactively to Qualifying Referrals already recorded.

3.2 Tracking & Attribution

Commissions are tracked exclusively through your Rewardful Referral Link. Scamanot is not responsible for untracked referrals resulting from:

  • users blocking cookies or disabling JavaScript;
  • users clicking your link on a different device than the one used to purchase;
  • link sharing that strips tracking parameters; or
  • referrals made by any method other than your assigned Referral Link.

No manual credit will be issued for untracked referrals.

3.3 Clawback Period

Commissions become eligible for payment only after the clawback period has passed. The clawback period is 30 days from the date of the subscriber's first charge. If a subscriber cancels, requests a refund, or initiates a chargeback within that period, the associated commission is voided. Scamanot will deduct previously paid commissions that are subsequently reversed from your next payment.

3.4 Payment Threshold & Schedule

Commissions are paid monthly, subject to a minimum payment threshold as displayed in your Rewardful dashboard. Payments are processed via the method configured in Rewardful (e.g., PayPal, bank transfer). You are responsible for ensuring your payment details are accurate and current. Scamanot is not liable for failed payments caused by incorrect account information.

3.5 Taxes

You are solely responsible for all taxes, duties, and levies arising from commission payments. Where required by law, Scamanot may withhold applicable taxes. You may be required to supply a completed W-9 (US persons) or W-8BEN (non-US persons) before payments are released. Failure to provide required tax documentation will delay payment.

3.6 Self-Referrals Prohibited

You may not use your own Referral Link to subscribe to Scamanot for yourself, for any entity you control, or for any household member. Self-referrals are void, earn no commission, and are grounds for termination.

4. Brand & Intellectual Property

4.1 Limited Licence

Scamanot grants you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable licence to use the Scamanot name, logo, and approved marketing materials ("Brand Assets") solely for the purpose of promoting the Program in accordance with these Terms.

4.2 Permitted Uses

  • Referring to Scamanot.com by name in editorial, review, or recommendation content.
  • Using approved logos or graphics downloaded from your affiliate dashboard.
  • Describing Scamanot's features accurately, using language consistent with the official website.
  • Displaying the tagline "We Find The Truth. Fast." exactly as written.

4.3 Prohibited Uses of Brand Assets

  • Modifying, distorting, or creating derivative versions of any Brand Asset.
  • Using Brand Assets in any way that implies endorsement, partnership, or employment beyond the affiliate relationship.
  • Registering domain names, social media handles, or business names that include "Scamanot" or confusingly similar variations.
  • Using Brand Assets in connection with content that is defamatory, discriminatory, deceptive, adult, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Creating content that implies Scamanot guarantees the safety or legitimacy of any investigated entity. Scamanot is a research tool — your content must reflect this.
Accuracy matters especially here. Scamanot users are often in a vulnerable position. Overpromising — even in affiliate copy — causes real harm and is a breach of these Terms.

4.4 Ownership

These Terms grant no ownership rights in any Scamanot intellectual property. All Brand Assets remain the exclusive property of Scamanot. Upon termination of your affiliate relationship, your licence to use Brand Assets is immediately revoked.

5. Prohibited Promotion Methods

The following are strictly prohibited. Violation of any item in this section is grounds for immediate termination and forfeiture of all unpaid commissions.

5.1 Spam & Unsolicited Messages

  • Sending unsolicited emails, SMS, direct messages, or any other form of bulk communication to promote your Referral Link.
  • Adding recipients to mailing lists without explicit opt-in consent.
  • Any practice that violates CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CASL, or equivalent anti-spam law in any jurisdiction.

5.2 Paid Search Restrictions

  • Bidding on "Scamanot", "Scamanot.com", or any confusingly similar brand keyword in Google Ads, Bing Ads, or any other paid search platform.
  • Running paid social advertisements that target audiences in a misleading or deceptive manner.
  • Any paid promotion that is not clearly disclosed as advertising per applicable regulations (e.g., FTC guidelines, ASA rules).

5.3 Coupon & Deal Sites

  • Posting fake or expired discount codes for Scamanot.
  • Listing Scamanot on coupon aggregator sites without prior written approval from Scamanot.

5.4 Deceptive & Misleading Practices

  • Making claims that Scamanot guarantees results or that its reports are infallible.
  • Creating fake reviews, testimonials, or case studies.
  • Fabricating screenshots, reports, or endorsements attributed to Scamanot.
  • Using urgency or fear tactics that exaggerate the risks of not using Scamanot.
  • Impersonating Scamanot staff, customer support, or official communications.

5.5 Cookie Stuffing & Click Fraud

  • Placing tracking cookies without user interaction (cookie stuffing).
  • Generating artificial clicks, impressions, or conversions by any automated or manual means.
  • Using bots, scripts, or third-party services to inflate referral metrics.

5.6 Negative SEO & Competitor Attacks

  • Publishing content that falsely defames competitors to drive traffic to Scamanot.
  • Any tactic that would expose Scamanot to legal liability through your promotional activity.

5.7 Disclosure Requirements

You must clearly and conspicuously disclose your affiliate relationship with Scamanot in all promotional content, consistent with applicable regulations (including FTC Endorsement Guidelines). Disclosure must appear before the Referral Link, not buried in footnotes. Acceptable examples:

  • "Disclosure: I earn a commission if you sign up for Scamanot using my link."
  • "Affiliate link — I may receive a commission at no extra cost to you."

6. Affiliate Conduct & Compliance

6.1 Accurate Representation

You must represent Scamanot honestly and accurately at all times. You must not create content that overstates the platform's capabilities, makes guarantees Scamanot does not make, or positions Scamanot as a substitute for professional legal, financial, or security advice.

6.2 Privacy Compliance

Scamanot does not store user search queries and is built on a privacy-first philosophy. Your promotional activity must not undermine this promise. Specifically, you must not:

  • collect or process personal data about individuals who click your Referral Link beyond what is required for ordinary website analytics;
  • share, sell, or trade audience data with third parties in connection with your promotion of Scamanot; or
  • imply that Scamanot collects, shares, or monetises user data beyond what is disclosed in its Privacy Policy.

6.3 Compliance with Law

You are solely responsible for ensuring your promotional activity complies with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction, including advertising standards, consumer protection rules, data protection law, and tax obligations. Scamanot is not liable for any fines, penalties, or legal claims arising from your non-compliance.

6.4 No Agency or Employment

Your participation in the Program does not create an employment relationship, partnership, joint venture, or agency between you and Scamanot. You are an independent contractor and have no authority to bind Scamanot to any obligation.

7. Termination & Consequences

7.1 Termination by You

You may leave the Program at any time by closing your Rewardful affiliate account. Pending commissions that have passed the clawback period will be paid on the next regular payment date, subject to the minimum threshold.

7.2 Termination by Scamanot

Scamanot may terminate your participation in the Program immediately, without notice, for any of the following:

  • any violation of these Terms;
  • use of any Prohibited Method (Section 5);
  • fraudulent, deceptive, or abusive behaviour;
  • conduct that damages or risks damaging Scamanot's reputation or brand;
  • self-referrals or creation of duplicate accounts; or
  • any activity that exposes Scamanot to legal liability.

Scamanot also reserves the right to terminate the Program entirely or suspend any affiliate for any reason with 30 days' notice.

7.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

  • your Referral Link will be deactivated;
  • your licence to use Brand Assets is immediately revoked;
  • commissions within the clawback period are forfeited;
  • commissions outside the clawback period that have met the payment threshold will be paid on the next scheduled payment date, unless termination was for cause, in which case all unpaid commissions are forfeited; and
  • you must remove all Referral Links and Brand Assets from your channels within 7 days.

7.4 Fraud & Forfeiture

If Scamanot determines, in its sole discretion, that fraud or abuse has occurred, Scamanot may withhold all commissions — paid or unpaid — associated with fraudulent activity and may pursue legal remedies for any losses incurred.

8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

8.1 No Guarantee of Earnings

Scamanot makes no representation that participation in the Program will result in any particular level of commission earnings. Commission amounts depend on your audience, promotional approach, and market factors outside Scamanot's control.

8.2 Service Availability

Scamanot does not guarantee uninterrupted access to the platform or the Program. Scamanot may modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of its service or the Program without liability.

8.3 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SCAMANOT'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU IN CONNECTION WITH THE PROGRAM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL COMMISSIONS PAID TO YOU IN THE THREE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM. SCAMANOT IS NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES OF ANY KIND.

8.4 Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Scamanot, its operator, and any associated personnel from and against any claims, damages, fines, or legal costs arising from (a) your promotional activity, (b) your breach of these Terms, or (c) your violation of any applicable law.

9. Modifications to These Terms

Scamanot may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified by email to the address registered in your Rewardful account, with at least 14 days' notice before the new Terms take effect. Continued participation in the Program after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to a change, you must close your affiliate account before the effective date.

10. General Provisions

10.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, USA. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Coconino County, Arizona, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer law in your jurisdiction.

10.2 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Scamanot Terms of Service and Privacy Policy (as updated from time to time), constitute the entire agreement between you and Scamanot with respect to the Program and supersede all prior communications or agreements on this subject.

10.3 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, it will be severed and the remaining provisions will continue in full force.

10.4 Waiver

Scamanot's failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of its right to enforce that provision in the future.

10.5 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer your affiliate account or any rights under these Terms without Scamanot's prior written consent. Scamanot may assign its rights under these Terms in connection with a business transfer or acquisition.
